Introducing the "RD17" Full Carbon Aero Road Frame. Designed to be a Disc Brake specific Aero Frame we have taken proven and tested designs from the prototype stage and created a very fast and yet still very controllable frame design. The Aerodynamic properties of this frame set make it slice through the wind like a blade and the power transfer from the crank to the wheel is balanced perfect.
The real new feature of the RD17 Full Carbon Aero Frameset is the stopping power.
Disc brakes which for the history of cycling have been found primarily on Mountain and cyclocross bikes; But as speeds increase and also where geographic location is a factor we have implemented Disc brake stopping power to Road Cycling.
Benefits are increased stopping power during descents with little brake fade and no heat build up on the rim surface reducing the chance of a blowout or rim failure due to "cooking" the surface of a rim on a long fast downhill or during extreme race conditions. Also stopping power is unaffected by rain or wet conditions this is a great design for those who need the extra stopping power in race conditions.
